A diya batti (or cotton wick) is a small piece of rolled or twisted cotton used in Hindu rituals. Placed in a traditional oil lamp (diya) and soaked in ghee or oil, it is lit during prayers and aarti to symbolize the triumph of light over darkness and divine enlightenment.
